Knee injury puts Seymour out for
Season

Brisbane halfback Brett Seymour is out for the rest of the NRL season with knee cruciate ligament damage.

Initial tests have shown Seymour is facing a knee reconstruction after he was injured in yesterday's win over Canberra.

Former Queensland five-eighth Ben Ikin could possibly play halfback this Friday night when the Broncos host Newcastle.

Ikin made his return for the Broncos in Canberra yesterday as Seymour's replacement after retiring at the end of last season and he's now also a realistic chance to also play State of Origin for Queensland again.

Test utility and former Brisbane halfback Shaun Berrigan is out of action after suffering a hamstring injury.
