The Newcastle Knights have lodged a Winding Up Application under section 459P of the Corporations Act with the Supreme Court as a result of debts totalling over $300,000.00 accumulated by the Newcastle Jets throughout the 2009 / 2010 A-League season and Asian Cup campaign.
Overwhelmingly the debt relates to game day costs including corporate catering services dating back to March 2009 - which are paid for by the Knights and then recovered from the Jets through pre-sold corporate packages.
