Knights name team to play the
Raiders

Adam Woolnough?s move from the bench to the starting side is the only change made to the Knights team that went down narrowly to the Bulldogs last Sunday.

Woolnough, who only last week returned to the playing field after suffering a neck injury in round one, will pack down in the front row with Test hooker Danny Buderus and veteran Craig Smith.

Coach Michael Hagan has shown faith in the 17 players that went within a whisker of upsetting the Premiers in the dying moments of their round seven clash.

Speaking today, he said the team was improving each week.

?Despite the disruptions we?ve had all year to the football team, they are starting to show the signs of the hard work we?ve been putting in,? he said.

?Without Andrew (Johns) on the field we showed enough composure and put in enough effort to be in with a big chance in the closing stages of the game.?

?Younger players such as Dan Tolar, Reegan Tanner and Trent Salkeld have progressed well and more senior players such as Steve Simpson, Kirk Reynoldson and Danny Buderus have been outstanding.?

?The test is now to continue that improvement and maintain the effort week-in, week-out, starting this Sunday against Canberra.?

A number of players remain under a fitness cloud. George Carmont (knee), Daniel Tolar (torn eye duct) and Matthew Gidley (foot) will be assessed later in the week after sustaining injuries last weekend.
