With the 2002 season barely one third gone, the St George-Illawarra Dragons hold a shaky 12th position on the NRL ladder. Last year's semi finalists, Saints have only managed one win this year and that was against the 2001 wooden spooners, Penrith.
The round eight match up against an inconsistent Northern Eagles side at Brookvale Oval on Sunday is perhaps Saints' last chance to prove themselves as 2002 contenders.
St George coach Andrew Farrar has said its up to the players find form and turn their season around.?
?It comes down to an individual thing,? he said.?
?It?s up to each player to switch on for the whole 80 minutes and everyone has had a good look at themselves lately so hopefully we?ll fix that.??
Another loss will be viewed as a major setback for the Dragons' camp.
?There?s no doubt that we will be all be going to Brookvale with victory on our minds,? said halfback, Willie Peters.?
?We respect them like any other side. It is a game we should win but they can knock over anyone. We?re just not going to let them knock over us."
Saints go into Sunday's match as slight favourites with SportsTab offering the Eagles a 4.5 start.
