Late mail on Game VI

Great Britain coach Brian Noble has finalised his bench for his side's must-win Tri Nations rugby league clash against Australia at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

Noble has omitted Hull duo Kirk Yeaman and Garreth Carvell and Leeds utility Rob Burrow from his initial seven-man interchange.

The full squad is:

Great Britain: Paul Wellens, Leon Pryce, Martin Gleeson, Keith Senior, Gareth Raynor, Danny McGuire, Richard Horne, Stuart Fielden, Terry Newton, Jamie Peacock (c), Gareth Hock, Gareth Ellis, Sean O'Loughlin Interchange: James Roby, Adrian Morley, Lee Gilmour, Jon Wilkin

Meanwhile, Sean Long has ruled out touring with Great Britain again and says he may turn his back on international rugby league altogether.

Britain's Tri-Nations series hopes suffered a major blow on Monday when a weary Long flew home to be with his heavily pregnant wife.

Long has told BBC radio he first considered leaving the Lions squad about 10 days before making the decision - before his match-winning performance against Australia in Sydney earlier this month.

In the Aussie camp, hooker Cameron Smith believes Great Britain will come out swinging against the Kangaroos tomorrow night.

Smith, along with coach Ricky Stuart, is expecting a tough encounter, with Stuart believing the British could be steeled by Long's departure just as New Zealand regrouped with a vengeance following the "granny gate" scandal that swirled around Nathan Fien last week.

The Lions must win, or at worst draw, the game to clinch a finals berth against Australia next week.
