Latu Gets His Chance To Impress

Young Warriors hooker Tevita Latu has been given another chance to fill in for PJ Marsh when the team hosts Canberra at Ericsson on Sunday.

The 22 year old Latu is one of three changes to the Warriors side.

Coach Daniel Anderson says the injured Marsh will be missed.

Marsh is on the mend after being carted off with ligament damage in his neck after just 45 seconds of play in last weekend's loss to Parramatta.

Anderson says Marsh has been at training and while he cannot do anything with the team, his spirits are high and he expects him to improve rapidly.

Marsh will be reassessed on Monday, when his neck brace is set to be removed.

Anderson says Marsh's role is a difficult one to fill, but Latu is very talented and enthusiastic.

And two of the Warriors more physical players have been rewarded with places in the starting 13.

Anderson has elevated prop forward Richard Villasanti and second rower Sione Faumuina to the starting line- up.

He says Villasanti needs more game time to regain full match fitness and Faumuina deserves his spot ahead of Wairangi Koopu.
