LeagueUnlimited.com Team of the Week - Round 4

It was a controlled performance from almost every half in the competition this week, with solid kicking games across the board. We could have picked an entire team of halfbacks, five eighths and centres if we had wanted to. Maybe one week we will.

In the LeagueUnlimited.com Player of the Year, Gareth Widdop still sits on 9 points, but failed to gain any points in his team's massive loss in Round 4. Ben Hunt approaches the front of the leaderboard thanks to 3 points against the Dragons.

Fullback: Jarryd Hayne (Eels)
Was more than solid in the fullback role for the Eels. Played his own game to set up the Eels for points. Also picked up a try.

Wing: Jason Nightingale (Dragons)
Nightingale has much more to offer than simply being great in the air - which he is. Ran for over 180 metres against the Broncos, including 7 tackle breaks. Also creates second phases with his offloads.

Centre: Joseph Leilua (Knights)
Furthered cemented himself as a powerhouse in the Knights' impressive outside backs. Made three line breaks, ran for 150 metres and broke 9 tackles. The Sharks' defence had no answer.

Centre: Steve Matai (Sea Eagles)
A strong performance from Steve Matai as the centre caused troubles for the Roosters as his power and skills worked over the Roosters outside backs.

Wing: Glen Fisiiahi (Warriors)
Broke tackles like they were nothing on his way to running for 125 metres.

Five Eight: Kieran Foran (Sea Eagles)
In a low scoring affair, Foran kept pushing the play and linking with his second rower in Justin Horo in an attempt to crack the Roosters line. He had a strong running game which created opportunities in attack

Halfback: Terry Campese (Raiders)
Controlled the tempo of the game superbly

Lock: Paul Carter (Titans)
Provided impact off the bench, relieving his tired starting pack.

Second Row: Sam Thaiday (Broncos)
More points this week for big Sammy. He plays like a big 5/8 at times, creating opportunities for his outside men. Set up a linebreak and a try, as well as making 30 tackles.

Second Row:: Josh Jackson (Bulldogs)
This guy didn't even start the game, but still managed to rack up 160 metres and almost 40 tackles. An unsung hero among a number of big names in the Bulldogs pack.

Prop: Kade Snowden (Knights)
If this bloke played like this every week, opposition teams would hate it. Ran for 180 metres, and made 18 hitups. Terrorised the Sharks around the ruck.

Hooker: Nathan Peats (Eels)
The difference Peats makes around the ruck is amazing. Tackled himself to a stand still, getting well into the 50s. Was no slouch with the ball either, darting for 60 metres.

Prop: Aaron Woods (Tigers)
Played like a prop should. 150 metres, and belted blokes in tackles. Also managed to create a few offloads, which is a headache for defences when it's coming from a bloke who already commands 4 defenders attention.

Interchange 1: Ben Hunt (Broncos)
Interchange 2: Josh McCrone (Raiders)
Interchange 3: Konrad Hurrell (Warriors)
Interchange 4: Aidan Sezer (Titans)

On the fringes: Anthony Milford, Timoteo Lafai, Josh Reynolds, Johnathan Thurston, Chris Sandow, Tyrone Roberts, Jake Friend
