Bit light on for centres in the LeagueUnlimited.com Team of the Week for Round 5. We've moved Sam Perrett and Jarryd Hayne into the centres, but it still leaves us with an abundance of backs on the bench.
Fullback: Michael Morgan (Cowboys)
Looked like a superstar against the terrible Knights defence. Ran for 100 metres and broke six tackles.
Wing: Josh Mansour (Panthers)
Always strong for the Panthers - in his return proved his abilities with 17 solid runs and 160 metres. Also scoring a crucial try for his team.
Centre: Sam Perrett (Bulldogs)
Was a big part of the back line defence for the Bulldogs. Saved two tries for the Bulldogs and was skilful under the high ball.
Centre: Jarryd Hayne (Eels)
Was more than safe under the high ball - didn't look like dropping a single one. Also broke 10 tackles, and proved a headache for the defence every time he touched the ball.
Wing: Nathan Stapleton (Sharks)
Although he was on the end of a lot of nice attacking play, still did plenty of work himself. Scored 4 tries and made a few line breaks as well. Also ran for almost 150 metres.
Five Eight: Josh Reynolds (Bulldogs)
Led his team around the park well. Picked up a try assist, a line break assist, and a couple of nice tackle busts. Also kicked the winning field goal.
Halfback: Chris Sandow (Eels)
Had his best game in a while in both defence and attack. Dropped Hannant in a beautiful tackle, and then stripped the ball in the next play. In attack, Sandow led from the front and kept his team in the game with the right decisions at crucial times.
Lock: Shaun Fensom (Raiders)
Broke the half century for tackles in the game. Was also no slouch in attack, making 20 runs and almost 150 metres.
Second Row: Manu Ma'u (Eels)
Ran for 120 metres, broke a stack of would-be tackles and made 29 vital tackles of his own.
Second Row: Sam Burgess (Rabbitohs)
Worked the joint down as usual with a try to boot. Made over 220 metres, and almost 40 tackles.
Prop: Aaron Woods (Tigers)
Rampaging display - led a fantastic performance from the Tigers' forwards. Ran for 180 metres, and broke a few tackles as well.
Hooker: Robbie Farah (Tigers)
Superb control from start to finish. Darted for 100 metres out of dummy half, including a handful of tackle breaks.
Prop: Andrew Fifita (Sharks)
More of the same from this big guy. Fifita ran for over 200 metres, offloaded 5 times, and made almost 30 tackles. Continues to prove himself as one of the best props in the game today.
Interchange 1: Todd Carney (Sharks)
Interchange 2: John Sutton (Rabbitohs)
Interchange 3: Peter Wallace (Panthers)
Interchange 4: Albert Kelly (Titans)
