Lewis comes into the frame

Boom Penrith rookie three-quarter Luke Lewis has been handed a green and gold jersey with the number 18 on the back as he joins the squad for the Kangaroos side to take on New Zealand at Newcastle on Friday night.

Lewis, who was controversially overlooked for last year's final Test match v Great Britain in favour of retired veteran Darren Smith, has been called in to cover for any emergencies and will join the team in Newcastle tomorrow afternoon.

Petero Civoniceva, picked in the second row, has already been forced out due to a knee injury, with Bulldogs skipper Steve Price being the replacement. 'Pricey' will line-up with brother-in-law Brent Tate, who has capped a remarkable return from what could have been a career-ending shoulder injury.
