London ready for the Kangaroos

While the rugby union world cup in Australia is attracting worldwide media coverage, and Clive Woodward's men are still recovering from their Samoan care, there is a group of Kangaroo tourists that have just landed in London, who can rightfully claim to be the 'best rugby league team in the world'.

The Australians will meet the rising stars of England 'A' tomorrow night at Griffin Park, and according to London Broncos boss Nic Cartwright, whose team also works out of the Brentford base, Griffin Park is about to host the 'best rugby team in the world' - the word 'league' not required.

"Sure I guess I am somewhat biased," said Cartwright, "but I can honestly say that after watching quite a bit of the world cup so far, our game is a more attractive spectator sport. So in terms of the 'best rugby team in the world' as far as a spectator sport is concerned, I think league wins hands down."

I do enjoy both sports, but right now I think the fifteen-a-side game has become a little too bogged down. If you think I'm wrong, come and take a look at the speed of the game on Tuesday."

I'm looking right now out my window at the England 'A' team train, and the skill these guys display is simply top shelf."

I am confident it will be a very competitive game of rugby league, and spectators will be thoroughly entertained by the best team in the world and the very best emerging talent that England has to offer."

Don't be surprised if our lads bring on an upset!"
