Lyon out indefinitely

Parramatta Eels centre Jamie Lyon is out of football indefinitely after being granted time off by club officials today.

Lyon wants to sort out a variety of personal issues before returning to the club.

?Jamie and his manager came to see me as well as other management this morning, and I was happy to give him some time to sort out his personal issues," Eels coach Brian Smith said today.

Smith is uncertain about the length of time Lyon needs off, but says his dedication to the blue and gold over the years is enough to earn him as much time as he needs.

?Jamie has been with the Club since he was 15 and has an impeccable record on and off the field," Smith said.

"He is well regarded by everyone at our Club and we all respect his wishes during this time."

The 22 year old has played 70 First Grade matches for Parramatta, and has represented Country, New South Wales and Australia.
