Mad Dog dumped and fined

Powerhouse South Sydney centre Adam MacDougall has been fined and dumped for Saturday's NRL match against Canberra after publicly criticising his team mates on the weekend.

The Rabbitohs issued a statement that says MacDougall has been fined a substantial amount and stood down from duties for a week following his damning comments after Sunday's 44-4 loss to the Wests Tigers. Souths have lost their opening 11 matches of the season and look destined for another wooden spoon this season.

The club statement says MacDougall has expressed regret over his comments and will address the team privately at a later stage.
