Maroons still counting toll

Queensland is still counting the injury toll from last night's State of Origin loss.

Roosters forward Chris Flannery is facing between two and four weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury while Penrith prop Ben Ross is having scans on his elbow today after Queensland's 32-10 loss to New South Wales in the series decider.

Queensland's players' player Michael Crocker has a sore shoulder but is likely to back up for the Roosters against Wests Tigers at Telstra Stadium on Sunday.

Cowboys pair Johnathan Thurston and Matt Bowen were sore at this morning's recovery session with Bowen in doubt for the game against Newcastle at Energy Australian Stadium on Sunday.
