Maroons to hold Fan Day in Emerald

The Queensland State of Origin team will visit Emerald in June this year for a Fan Day that will carry extra significance.

The Central Queensland town has twice been ravaged by floods but now locals can look forward to sharing their remarkable stories of survival with members of the history making Queensland Maroons team.

Thousands of rugby league fans from throughout Central Queensland are expected to attend the Fan Day at Emerald's Alan McIndoe Oval on Wednesday, June 8.

But before donning the training gear for a hit out and autograph session, the Queensland players will attend a Civic Reception and Sports Lunch.
