Matt Bowen stays a Cowboy

TOYOTA Cowboys games record holder Matthew Bowen will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2013 NRL season after agreeing to a new contract with North Queensland.
The 29-year-old has been in superb form for the Cowboys this season, helping the club to third on the NRL ladder with five rounds remaining.
Earlier this year, he broke life member Paul Bowman's record for most NRL games played for the Cowboys and on Friday night against Canterbury, he will play his 220th game for the club.
He is also only 21 points away from reaching 500 points in his NRL career.
The fullback said he was happy to have his contract negotiations out of the way and he is looking forward to this year's finals series, as well as playing for the Cowboys for at least another two years.
