Matt Sing to Stay in Townsville

CEO of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Denis Keeffe announced today at a press conference at Dairy Farmers Stadium that winger Matt Sing had re-signed with the club for the next two seasons.

?Matt?s brings so much to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, he is a great athlete, good bloke and clubman one of the people you want around a club that is going places? Denis Keeffe said.

?He, in my opinion is probably the best outside back in the game at the moment and is a real asset and example to the young players at our club?.

Sing first came to the Toyota Cowboys from the Roosters in 2002, since then his career has prospered rejoining Queensland State of Origin ranks and touring with the Kangaroos at the end of last season.

Apart from his representative duties in 2003 Sing finished second in the NRL for try scorers and in the top ten for line breaks.

His wealth of experience at the highest levels of rugby league has been invaluable to the Cowboys having played 214 first grade matches.

Head Coach Graham Murray is looking forward to continuing his association with the flying winger.

?Its great to be able to retain and extend the services of a current international who is not only at the top of his game at the moment but is even getting better as time goes on.?

?He will be invaluable for providing information to the younger players on what you can get out of our great game through this club.?
