Melbourne Storm Alert - Kaufusi
signs

With some of the old Melbourne Storm pack leaving, a new one is starting to build and in the mix is Antonio Kaufusi.

Hitting the scales at a staggering 115kg, Kaufusi has signed an upgraded 2 year deal with the club for seasons 2005-06.

After an impressive semi-final series last year the 20 year old front rower will be out to fill one of the spots left by Stephen Kearney, Rodney Howe, Kirk Reynoldson and Danny Williams.

Making a rapid rise from the feeder club (Brisbane Norths), Kaufusi?s skill and power will be vital in helping Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Matt Orford and Scott Hill play at full tilt.

Also, the Melbourne Storm coaching staff have decided to add another pre-season trial match to the schedule.

The Storm will play Central Comets in Rockhampton on February 5th before the Brisbane Broncos game at Carrara and the North Queensland Cowboys in Cairns.

The Rockhampton hit-out will be a chance for several young players to impress the coach Craig Bellamy who returns from Tri-Nation duties early December.
