out of Anzac Day clash

Sydney Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello is out of tomorrow's Anzac Day NRL clash against St George Illawarra due to a hamstring injury.

Minichiello failed to complete the Roosters' final session today after straining the hamstring at training on Friday. Roosters coach Ricky Stuart says he is not willing to risk the Test fullback in what looms as a vital clash for both sides.

Roosters officials are confident Minichiello will return to action in Saturday night's clash against North Queensland in Townsville, and say he is in no danger of missing next Friday's Test match against New Zealand if selected.

The loss of Minichiello continues the Roosters' horror run with injury, which already sees Ryan Cross, Iosia Soliola and Joel Monaghan sidelined.
