Mitchell Aubusson extends Roosters contract

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce the re-signing of Mitchell Aubusson for a further three years, keeping him at the club until the end of season 2016.

“I’ve been with the Roosters since I was 16 and I honestly couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else.

“From the group of boys we have here to the coaching and admin staff, there’s a fantastic team here at the club and I’m stoked that I’ll continue to be a part of it all.”

Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson was pleased to have Aubusson locked in to the Club’s long-term plans.

“Mitch is a significant contributor to our playing group both on and off the footy field, a genuine person and a true Clubman and to ensure that we have him here for a number of years is great for the Roosters,” said Robinson.

Brian Canavan, Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, added: “Mitchell has been part of our commitment to develop our young players for a number of years now. He is a genuine role model on and off the field and enjoys an easy popularity at all levels in the club.

“Apart from his skill as a footballer, he is highly thought of by the players, staff, Members and sponsors alike and we are very pleased to have Mitchell on board for a further three years.”

Aubusson made his NRL debut as a 19 year-old in the opening round of 2007 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and will contest his 121st game in the NRL in this Thursday’s traditional Anzac Day match against the St George Illawarra Dragons at Allianz Stadium.
