More Northern
talent makes it's way to the Capital

London Broncos squad for the 2004 season continues to build with the announcement today of two more player signings.

Tony Rea expects to have all squad members confirmed well ahead of the warm weather training camp, which commences on November 25th in Dubai.

The new-look Broncos will line up for the first time when they play in the Dubai 7's at the start of December.

Joining recent signings, Jon Wells and John Kirkpatrick, will be winger Lee Greenwood and stand-off Radney Bowker.

Greenwood, who arrives after a four-year spell with Halifax, has signed a three year deal with the Broncos and is very much looking forward to life in London: "I've heard nothing but good reports about the Broncos and the last few years have seen so many other lads move down from the North and play really well."

It's great that London are now building up such a strong British base and we're very much looking forward to becoming part of the club."

A number of the guys that have moved to London in recent years have also gone on to play at representative level, so I think that also speaks a lot for the place."

Lee joined Halifax in 2000 after making two appearances for Sheffield and played 45 times for the club in his four years at The Shay. He was the leading try scorer in the Alliance League in 2001, and this season crossed ten times in 28 appearances.

Bowker joined Salford City Reds a year ago from Barrow, and also had a stint with St Helens, making one substitute appearance in Super League in 2001, after starting his career with Leigh. He spent this year on loan at Rochdale Hornets and was a stand-out figure for the club. He was rewarded with selection in the National League One team which defeated New Zealand 'A' last Sunday.
