Match Summary:

The Canterbury Bulldogs have defeated the Sydney Roosters by 25-nil amid high drama out at Telstra Stadium tonight.

In a sometimes dull match, the game came alight in the 67th minute when Adrian Morley was sent from the field for kneeing Corey Hughes as the Bulldogs utility was playing the ball close to the line.

The incident is sure to end Morley?s chequered career in the NRL as he leaves our shores to return to the Engage Super League next season.

Canterbury led 10-0 at halftime courtesy of an Andrew Emelio try and three goals from winger Hazem El Masri but had barely raised a sweat.

But the second half was a different story with the Bulldogs upping the tempo with Sonny Bill Williams and captain Andrew Ryan crossing for tries with a little under a quarter of the game to go.

Morley was then sent from the field in the 67th minute after the Roosters were again caught in their own territory defending the line. Hughes appeared somewhat aggressive towards the Roosters in the play the ball but none of it was illegal or should have resulted in such recourse.

The Englishman lunged with his knee to Hughes? chest, knocking him to the ground and nearly causing an all-in brawl.

The ensuing penalty to El Masri and a further field goal from halfback Brent Sherwin rounded out the 25-0 scoreline.
