News from the Judiciary

Bulldogs forward Steve Reardon has accepted a one-match suspension after pleading guilty to a grade one careless high tackle.

The Bulldogs have the bye this weekend, leaving Reardon to sit out the club's round 20 National Rugby League clash with North Queensland at Sydney Showground on Sunday week. Canberra forward Ben Cross was the only other player suspended today after pleading guilty to a minor striking offence.

Cross confessed to a grade one strike on St George Illawarra hooker Mark Riddell and will miss the NSW Residents' match against Queensland Residents before tomorrow night's final State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium.

Brisbane backline utility Casey McGuire and Melbourne forward Glen Turner narrowly escaped suspensions for grade two careless high tackles.
