News: Taylor, Joey, Slater

Parramatta coach Jason Taylor says that if Andrew Johns breaks his rugby league first grade points scoring record this weekend it will only make him prouder to be on the same list.

Johns needs just four points to break Taylor's record of 2107 points and has that opportunity against Taylor's Eels on Saturday night. Taylor set his mark five year ago, also at Parramatta Stadium. He says he doesn't expect Johns to be nervous about getting past the milestone.

Meanwhile, Billy Slater has been recalled to the Melbourne Storm lineup for Friday night's top of the table NRL clash with Brisbane at Olympic Park. Slater has spent the last two weeks playing with the Storm's feeder teams after serving a second suspension this year.

The former Queensland Origin star has been named at fullback for Melbourne.

Steve Turner couldn't be considered for selection as he's still recovering from a rib cartilage injury. Matt King, Cameron Smith and Dallas Johnson will all be backing up after Wednesday night's State of Origin decider.

Nathan Friend and Jamie Feeney have also been named in an 18-man Melbourne squad to provide cover for the Origin representatives.
