Doctors have confirmed Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall will not have to undergo surgery on his injured right shoulder. Steve Noyce, CEO of Wests Tigers, said ? the MRI scans have revealed pleasing news for the Club?.
Marshall injured the right shoulder in the trial win over Italy at Mollymook Oval last Saturday night. "The injury doesn't require surgery and Benji will be working closely with our medical and rehabilitation staff to manage the situation,'' Noyce said. "We expect to see Benji back on the field in 6 to 8 weeks.''
Marshall was relieved to hear the pleasing results ?It has been a frustrating wait, after being out for a large part of last season, but I?m positive with the help of the Rehabilitation Staff I will be back on the paddock in no time? said Marshall.
