Northampton Rugby League takes the field

Northampton Saints stars Chris Ashton and Stephen Myler are returning to their roots to help promote the new amateur Rugby League Club in Northampton. The RL team has been set up with the help of Northampton [b]Casuals[/b] Rugby Union Club and the players will be appearing at the RU clubs Rushmills ground on Monday March 3rd at 7pm. Both played Rugby League before joining Northampton Saints. Myler signed from Salford City Reds in 2006 while Ashton made his high profile move from Wigan Warriors at the start of 2007 RU season. They will be spending an hour at the ground from seven o'clock onwards where the club will hold a special training session for all age groups. Northampton Casuals Rugby League team kick off their season with two friendly matches against Bedford Tigers on April 19th & 27th at their home ground. Both matches kick off at 2.30pm.
