NRL Judiciary finds Thurston not guilty

North Queensland co-captain and Maroons halfback Johnathan Thurston has been found not guilty tonight by the NRL Judiciary.

The verdict came after close to an hour of viewing footage, the reading of referee Matt Cecchin's match report, and statements from Thurston and his legal represenative, and a further 50 minutes of deliberation by the judiciary.

Thurston is now clear to play in the Cowboys' clash with Penrith this Sunday at the foot of the mountains, as well as the third and final State of Origin match in Brisbane on July 6.
