An all pink Women in League week raising funds for breast cancer kicks off across the ditch tonight with the Warriors hosting the Knights. Halfway through the season and the Warriors, predicted by many at the start of the season to finish in the top four, are possibly playing for their year. After registering just one victory in the last six weeks, it is time for the real Warriors to stand up, with just Brent Tate and Joel Moon missing from their top side. The Knights on the other hand, have shown signs in recent weeks that their enthusiastic start to the season is in danger of unravelling. They have lost two of their last three and were noticeably flat against the Eels last week. Fullback and captain Kurt Gidley will miss the trip across the Tasman with calf soreness emanating from Origin 1 and backing up several days later. Coach Brian Smith has enforced a rest and recuperation policy for the Novocastrians to freshen them up after their sub-standard performance last Sunday. Warriors halfback Stacey Jones celebrates his 250th first grade game and will be looking to lead from the front and kick-start the Warriors
