NRL Round 9 LATE MAIL

Updates on player injury and availability following Friday night's representative matches.

Tonight's Broncos lineup is anybody's guess - while it's known Sam Thaiday and Justin Hodges (Australia) will not back up following last night's Test, while the remainder of their representative players will be given until kickoff to prove their fitness. While Melbourne's spine of Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith all pulled up fine. Unfortunately centre Beau Champion (Country, dislocated shoulder) will be out for up to 6 weeks and will not play tonight.

The Titans only rep player Mark Minichiello has pulled up okay, while the Warriors' rep contigent from the Kiwis will all be assessed prior to tomorrow's 2pm kickoff. Sam Rapira (broken thumb) will not play following injury last night.

Dragons representative stars Jamie Soward (Country, abductor injury), Nathan Fien (Kiwis, hamstring) and Jason Nightingale (Kiwis, head knock) will all miss tomorrow's clash with the North Queensland Cowboys. Soward has been cleared of a broken thumb and may become available for Friday's clash with Canterbury in Round 10. At this stage Cowboys reps Matt Scott and Johnathan Thurston have both had no issues to report.

Manly bench player David Williams played NSW Cup today for Manly against North Sydney and will not appear Monday night. Brett Stewart is reportedly fit and ready.
