NSW Team for Origin II

NSW have recalled Cronulla halfback Brett Kimmorley for Game II of the 2007 State of Origin series, to be held at Telstra Stadium on Wednesday week, June 13th.

Kimmorley replaces Jarrod Mullen, who was not considered due to injury. He is set to make his first appearance for the Blues since he threw his ill-fated intercept pass to Matt Bowen in golden point extra time in Game I 2005.

His Sharks teammate Greg Bird has won a bench spot along with outstanding Melbourne forward Ryan Hoffman in place of Anthony Tupou and the injured Kurt Gidley. Both players will make their Origin debuts.

Bird is likely to fulfil the utility role whilst Hoffman will provide plenty of value from the bench after both players have shown outstanding club form.

Hoffman was also recently called into the Australian team as 18th man for the ANZAC Test match against New Zealand in April.

The full team is:

Blues: Anthony Minichiello, Matt King, Jamie Lyon, Matt Cooper, Jarryd Hayne, Braith Anasta, Brett Kimmorley, Brett White, Danny Buderus (c), Brent Kite, Willie Mason, Nathan Hindmarsh, Andrew Ryan Interchange: Luke Bailey, Steve Simpson, Ryan Hoffman, Greg Bird
