NSWRL Premier League : Round 5
preview

With Parramatta the only side so far unbeaten in the Premier League competition, things are starting to heat up for the lower positions.

First game of the round has the Roosters taking on the Bulldogs at Telstra Stadium on Friday night. This will be a very tight game between two even sides.

This Saturday, May 10, at Henson Park in Marrickville the 1981 Premiers Parramatta take on their Grand Final opponents the Newtown Jets in what promises to be a quality game of football. The Parramatta side is curently the only undefeated side in the Premier League competition.

Leichhardt Oval is the place where the Balmain side would love to topple the Canberra Raiders. Both teams have only suffered the one loss so far in the competition.

The Manly side head across town to take on the Sharks at Toyota Park. Manly have yet to post their first win but have shown signs of breaking through.

Sunday games kick off with Souths travelling up to Newcastle to take on the Knights. The Newcastle side would love nothing better than to collect their first win in front of a home crowd.

The Cougars side are at home to the visiting Dragons. Another even contest with these two sides even on the ladder.

The final match of the round has the Norths side at home to Wests at North Sydney Oval. I'm sure Norths would love nothing better than to get 2 points at home to get them off the bottom of the ladder.
