NZ Bartercard Cup - Round 3

New Zealand's Bartercard Cup competition kicks off Round 3 with three matches tonight.

Of great interest tonight will be the outcome of the match between the Hibiscus Coast Raiders and newcomers and so far undefeated, Counties Manukau Jets.

The other two matches tonight between the Tigers and Eastern Tornadoes as well as Wellington up against Otahuhu Ellerslie will also be great battle with all these teams sitting mid table and looking to make their mark in the competition.

Saturday sees the two top undefeated sides so far in the Bartercard competition go head to head at Rotorua. Expected to be wet underfoot, the side able to adapt to the conditions the best will win on the day. The experience of the Marist side may just see them through. A first time Bartercard game in Rotorua will be great for the locals.

The match of the round will have the home side, the Canterbury Bulls, hosting the Mt Albert Lions on Saturday night. Always a top battle between these two sides and I'm sure a great game for those who venture out to watch.

Glenora take on the Falcons as the curtain raiser for the NRL match between the Warriors and the Storm on Sunday afternoon. It'll be a tussle for these two bottom placed sides and great to see them get some well deserved exposure.
