O\'Meley to miss Souths game

Bulldogs prop Mark O'Meley has been ruled out of Friday's clash with South Sydney through suspension.

O'Meley has accepted a one-match ban after entering an early guilty plea to the grade one charge of dropping his knees into Gold Coast skipper Scott Prince during the second half of the Bulldogs win on Sunday.

The Bulldogs would have risked missing O'Meley for two matches if they decided to defend the charge.

Penrith fullback Rhys Wesser and North Queensland lock Justin Smith have also pleaded guilty, but will not miss any games because of their early pleas.
