Rugby League Professionals Association boss Matthew Rodwell says no deal has been done with the NRL to water down the clout of the players' union.
Rodwell says a decision to downgrade the RLPA from its status as a union will not be imposed from the top and can only be made by a vote of its members.
The RLPA board has proposed its? deregistration as a union in return for funding of $320,000 a year from the NRL.
Rodwell says players will vote on deregistration in November after he has provided them with "objective" information about the move.
Up north, the Gold Coast Titans' future home ground will be called Skilled Park.
The NRL club will play its home games at Gold Coast Stadium in Carrara next year before moving to its 25,000-seat stadium being constructed at Robina. Queensland Premier Peter Beattie has announced the Skilled Group has secured naming rights to the stadium until 2013.
The company also holds the rights to Skilled Stadium in Victoria - the home ground of AFL club Geelong.
Across the ditch, former New Zealand captain Stacey Jones and Bulldogs backrower Sonny Bill Williams are among the latest additions to the Kiwi train-on squad ahead of next month's Tri-Nations rugby league tournament.
Jones was the first player from the UK Super League competition to be brought into the squad and will be keen to make up for a disappointing season in which his club Les Catalans finished last in its debut year.
Four Bulldogs players were also added to the preliminary squad with Williams joined by Roy Asotasi, Matt Utai and Ben Roberts. The Kiwis kick off their Tri-Nations campaign on October 14 against Australia at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.
