Panthers pre season match at North
Harbour Stadium

Following the Lion Red Kiwis sensational victory over the Kangaroos on October 18, North Harbour Stadium has reached an agreement with the Vodafone Warriors to again hold a pre-season match in 2004. The Stadium will host the Vodafone Warriors against the Penrith Panthers, who are the reigning Minor Premiers and NRL champions.

Vodafone Warriors General Manager, Spiro Tsiros, acknowledges that North Harbour Stadium; with the 2003 pre-season match against Cronulla bringing in 15,000 fans, its fantastic facilities and a close proximity to the Vodafone Warriors fan base; is the ideal venue to play a top class side such as Penrith.

The match is confirmed for Sunday 29th February, 2004. A kick off time is yet to be finalised but a 5.30pm main game start is anticipated.

Bartercard Cup teams, North Harbour Tigers will play Mount Albert Lions as a curtainraiser.

Tickets will go on sale early in February and will be available from Ticketek, the Mad Butcher and the Stadium office.

?Excellent value, 20,000 ground tickets at only $10 each for adults, with child and family prices also available. North Shore City and Auckland residents love to support the Vodafone Warriors and it?s our aim to fill the Stadium,? said North Harbour Stadium General Manager, Wayne Scurrah.

Scurrah added, ?Without a doubt, some of the most exciting and memorable games over the years have come from league and as the venue, it is an honour to be part of it all. New Zealanders have been incredibly supportive of the Vodafone Warriors and we will be encouraging fans to come along to North Harbour Stadium in 2004 to watch their team play the best possible opposition in the final game prior to the commencement of the NRL season.?
