Peacock likely Great Britain
captain

Bradford second-rower Jamie Peacock is expected to be confirmed as Great Britain's captain for the Gillette Tri- Nations today, though there will be much interest in who becomes his deputy. Peacock is poised to take over from Paul Sculthorpe, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a serious knee injury, after being initially named vice-captain.

Both Kevin Sinfield of Leeds and Keiron Cunningham of St Helens are contenders for the deputy role, though neither played in last year's Tri- Nations. Cunningham withdrew through injury while Sinfield was not selected by the Lions coach Brian Noble. But both have been in outstanding form this season.
