Former NRL star Billy Peden has agreed to stay with the London Broncos for another season. The former Newcastle Knight was a key man in the Broncos' drive to the Tetley's Super League play-offs.
A knee injury ruled him out of contention as the club were defeated by St Helens.
He has since undergone successful surgery on the joint, and admits: "The knee feels good and I am excited about playing again in 2004."
"We really liked our time in London although it finished on a low for me personally," he said.
"The knee feels good and physically and mentally I am excited about playing again in 2004.
"The squad that the club has assembled looks really well balanced and there seems to be a lot of depth in key positions which is important.
"It was tough watching that play-off from the sidelines last season so I guess I've still got some unfinished business."
