Penrith surge past miserable Manly

The Penrith Panthers have stunned the Manly Sea Eagles to the tune of 22-4 in front of 11,844 delirious fans in their round 12 encounter at Centrebet Stadium.

Manly centre Steve Matai also faces a nervous wait after being placed on report for a swinging arm on Panthers forward Danny Galea in the second half.

An enthralling opening 40 minutes saw both teams with minimal errors and genuine scoring chances few and far between. The home side played a more enterprising style of play with ball movement at times asking significant questions of the Manly defence but the premiers
