Perry ready to saddle up for Broncos

Brisbane halfback Shane Perry has declared himself fit for Sunday's crunch clash with Newcastle.

Perry had been battling several injuries but after completing today's training session says he'll be right to go at Marathon Stadium on Sunday. The match will be an emotional one for Knights' supporters who will officially farewell favourite son Andrew Johns before the clash.

The Broncos will have six players backing up from Friday night's Test with New Zealand in Brisbane and Perry says it will be up to other players to take the pressure off them on Sunday. Brisbane has had a disappointing start to their Premiership defence, losing four of their first five games and another loss five days before backing-up against Melbourne Storm could put their season in jeopardy.
