movements: Lyon & Armit

English Super League club St Helens says it has not been contacted by New South Wales officials about the possible selection of Jamie Lyon for the State of Origin series.

The 24-year-old former Kangaroo tourist, who won the prestigious Super League Man of Steel award after a dominant first season in England, has been touted for a possible recall to the NSW team at five-eighth for this year's series beginning on May 24. Lyon, who is thought to be negotiating a return to the NRL next season, played the last of his five Origin matches nearly three years ago.

The former Parramatta centre, who is the second-highest scorer in Super League this season, has missed St Helens' last two matches with an eye infection but is poised to return against Warrington on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bulldogs forward Chris Armit has re-signed with the club until the end of the 2008 season. The 23-year-old joined the Bulldogs in 2005 and says he's keen to keep learning under coach Steve Folkes.
