Player movements: Walker, Ross,
Perry, Abraham and Carney.

Chris Walker will meet Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens today as part of his search for a new club. Walker's also considering offers from English league and union clubs plus Super 12 rugby's Queensland Reds.

Penrith discard Ben Ross will meet with Cronulla officials today.

In other news, former NSW prop Josh Perry has rejected a lucrative North Queensland offer and re-signed with Newcastle for another two NRL seasons.

The Knights' next priority is holding on to former NSW Country backrower Daniel Abraham. Perry's signing follows news that Irish winger Brian Carney will link with Newcastle next season before starting a two year deal with new NRL club Gold Coast from 2007.

Meanwhile, Newcastle coach Michael Hagan will give Knights five-eighth Kurt Gidley until the last minute to overcome a groin injury for Saturday's clash against Cronulla at Toyota Park. He will take the place of youngster Jarrod Mullen, who had a blinder last week, if passed fit.
