Teenage Cronulla front rower Keith Galloway has rejected offers from the Sharks and South Sydney to link up with Wests Tigers for the next three years.

Galloway says the lure of playing under veteran coach Tim Sheens is too great an opportunity to pass, and is hoping the move will help propel him into representative football.

The powerful 19-year-old, who weighs in at 112kg and stands at 190cm, will add some much needed size to the Tigers pack next season.

The Sharks went some way towards making up for Galloway's departure by adding Brisbane front rower Darren Mapp to their ranks.

Mapp, 24, signed a two-year deal which will fill some of the void left by Galloway and the imminent retirement of representative prop Jason Stevens.
