PNG International set to debut for
Broncos

Papua New Guinea Test player Ricky Sibiya has been drafted in to the Broncos line-up for their first Season 2005 trial match, in Bundaberg on Saturday (February 12).

Sibiya, a 20-year-old centre who played both Tests against the Junior Kangaroos in November, has replaced Peter Draper on the interchange bench. He has recently been signed by the Broncos on the recommendation of PNG coach Bob Bennett, the younger brother of Broncos coach Wayne.

The Broncos, fielding NRL up and coming youngsters Brett Seymour, Neville Costigan and Sam Thaiday, will play South Sydney at the Brothers ground in Bundaberg at 7.30pm on Saturday.

A number of exciting rookies, including speedy winger Leon Bott, Bundaberg junior Liam Campbell, Junior Kiwi hooker John TeReo and former Cowboys centre Derrick Watkins, will also play for the Broncos.

NRL premiership captain, Kevin Walters, will coach the Broncos.

The Broncos team is: Grant Booker, Leon Bott, Liam Campbell, Derrick Watkins, Gideon Mzembe, Aaron Barba, Brett Seymour, Sam Thaiday, John TeReo, Anthony Seibold (c), Jason McDougall, Neale Wyatt, Neville Costigan. Interchange: Zac Chisholm, Leon Rotumah, Ricky Sibiya, Tee Levu, Ian Blake and Nick Meyers.
