Wigan today have announced that prop Quentin Pongia has signed for the club until the end of 2004.
Warriors Chairman Maurice Lindsay said,
"Quentin has been a terrific signing for the club and with his great attitude to the game has had a great effect on everyone around him. His presence here next year will be a great benefit to the younger players at the club."
Coach Mike Gregory commented,
"Quentin is a popular player within the club and is a senior professional. I am delighted to have him in the squad for another season.. His performances since he joined us have earned him another year without question."
Quentin Pongia said,
"I am really pleased to be staying for another year, I have found Wigan a terrific club to be involved with. I enjoy the English style of Rugby League and will give my all to try and help the club in their ambition to win trophies."
