Premier League Grand Final
Preview

The second game to be played on Grand Final Day also promises to be one of the most exciting. The in-form Roosters take on the minor premiers Parramatta in a contest of gargantuan proportions with both sides fielding extremely competitive and experiences teams.

Parra, four points clear at the end of the regular season, have had a slightly tougher run into the semi?s. After demolishing Newcastle in the first round they took a week off before confronting a very committed Newton Jets outfit that really tested them.

The Roosters have had a different path, with incredible victories against the Bulldogs and the Raiders setting up some great form rolling into the big one on Sunday arvo.

The Eels have Joel Reddy (son of Rocket) and Jarryd Hayne (son of former Souths player Manoa Thompson and nephew to Terry Hill) lining up in the backs. They are joined by Ashley Graham, Chris Muckert, Henry Perenara, Luke O?Dwyer, James Storer, Jack Afamasaga and Justin Tsoulos who have all tasted first grade.

It?s a similar story for the Roosters with Michael Lett, Sam Perrett, Jamie Soward, Heath L?Estrange, Stuart Webb, George Rose, Ben Hannant, Adam Schubert and the three Paea brothers all having a run in the top grade at some stage this year.

This should be a cracking game and a great curtain-raiser to the big one. It?s hard to split either side but the sheer momentum encompassing the Roosters right now makes them hard to look past. Soward's experience may prove the difference and he is sure to want to add to last year's Jersey Flegg victory.
