Preview: Wakefield v
Wigan (Round 8)

Wakefield are boosted by the return of New Zealand international David Solomona as they look to gain swift revenge against Wigan for Sunday?s 32-22 Challenge Cup defeat.

Second-rower Solomona, who this week turned down a move to Wigan, returns from a two-match absence with a rib injury to bolster a Wildcats side looking to halt a five-match losing run.

"David showed his character and his commitment, not only to the club, but to his team-mates, which is a big thing," said coach Tony Smith.

"When you are playing with a world-class player like David Solomona, it gives everybody a lift."

Wigan are seeking to avoid losing five successive league matches for the first time since 1982, when they went on to lose seven in a row under Maurice Bamford, but they will have gained a confidence boost from their cup win at Belle Vue.

The Warriors, who are hoping to sign former Sheffield and Castleford second-rower Jordan James from Swinton, are without hooker Wayne Godwin, who has a hip injury.
