Wigan v Harlequins (Round 10)

While Wigan wait for an answer to their job offer from Brian Noble, caretaker coaches Stuart Wilkinson and Andrew Farrar look to stop the rot against Harlequins.

Chairman Maurice Lindsay is thought to have met Noble for talks at the weekend but the Great Britain boss is likely to remain in charge of Bradford for their home game against Huddersfield on Tuesday, which would enable him to bow out at Odsal.

By then, rock-bottom Wigan?s plight could be even more perilous if they fail to halt a six-match losing run, their worst for 24 years.

After five successive away matches, the fallen giants return to face the music at the JJB Stadium, knowing that another defeat would leave them at least four points adrift at the foot of the table.

The club enjoyed some rare good news today, with the return of Kiwi Test prop Iafeta Palea?aesina, who has been out for five weeks with a torn calf, but they are still without six regulars, including latest injury victim David Vaealiki.

Wigan face a difficult test from Quins, who are starting to get their injured players back and stopped a four-match losing run at the expense of Catalans Dragons on Friday.

Coach Tony Rea welcomed back club captain Rob Purdham and utility back Zebastian Luisi against the Catalans and is now able to recall overseas forwards Solomon Haumono and Filimone Lolohea from injury lay-offs.
