Price Wins, Bulldogs Still Lose

Steve Price has successfully had his grade three careless high tackle charge downgraded but will still miss this weekend's match against the unbeaten Canberra Raiders at Canberra Stadium on Saturday night. Price will serve a one-match ban for a careless high tackle in last week?s loss to the St George Illawarra Dragons

Price fought the charge in the hope that if successful, he would be able to take his place in the Bulldogs side for the crucial clash against the Raiders.

The loss of Price leaves a big hole to fill for the Bulldogs, who are already without in form fullback Luke Patten (shoulder) while Brent Sherwin and Braith Anasta must both pass fitness tests to play with Sherwin at long odds and he has until Friday to prove his fitness.

Injuries and suspensions could not have come at a worse time for the Bulldogs who are struggling for form at the moment, having only won three of their first six games.

The Raiders also have their fair share of injuries and suspensions with Terry Martin, Joel Monaghan and Michael Monaghan unavailable through injury while Ruben Wiki is still serving the last match of a two-match suspension.

This match will be one of the highlights of the weekend and with this years competition so even, form means very little as we have seen both Manly and St George Illawarra turn around shocking results within seven days.
