Wynnum Manly will be keen to take some momentum into the finals with a win against the Mackay Cutters this weekend. The Seagulls have not won a game since round 17 and went down to the Burleigh Bears 32-26 last weekend. However, this was under difficult circumstances with their game time being pushed back after an accident caused long delays on the highway. With the Cutters unable to make the finals, they will be looking to send their coach Anthony Seibold out on a winning note at their last home game of the season.

After two seasons with the club, Seibold will coach the Melbourne Storm NYC team next year. Mackay have a strong recent record at home in their favour, winning their past three games - however, the Seagulls have the upper hand in the head-to-head stakes and have claimed five victories to four. They have also won their past three games against the Mackay side. Out with injury last weekend, Jon Grieve has been named to make his return to the Wynnum side at centre, while the Cutters will be boosted by the inclusion of Dane Hogan and Michael Thomas. In milestone news, Wynnum skipper Luke Dalziel Don will play in his 150th Queensland/Intrust Super Cup game (all for the Seagulls) on the weekend.

The mystery punter says: Mackay Cutters by 6. Although down on troops, the Cutters have the ability to spring a surprise on the Seagulls, who may be saving their best for the big games.
