QLD Intrust Super Cup Results - Round 6 (Split Round - Week 2)

ROUND 6 PREVIEW - Week 2

CQ CAPRAS v REDCLIFFE DOLPHINS

Browne Park, Sunday, 2pm

Referee: Tim Rutherford

Head to Head: Redcliffe 24 Central 6

Week 2 of the Round 6 Split Round kicks off with the Central Queensland Capras hosting the Redcliffe Dolphins. Both sides are coming off impressive wins - with the Capras stunning the Northern Pride with their 28-18 victory; while the Dolphins ruthlessly disposed of the Souths Logan Magpies in their 70-18 rout.

Winger Liam Georgetown starred in the big win, crossing for three tries and slotting over 11 goals; and this weekend he will be playing his 100th game in the Queensland Cup. His wing partner for this game will be impressive back Delroy Berryman, with Aaron Whitchurch out of the side after being selected in the Queensland Under 20 State of Origin team playing in Penrith on Saturday.

The Dolphins enjoy a healthy record against the Rockhampton side and have won their past four encounters. However, the Capras will definitely be up for the challenge - especially in front of their home crowd. One of their stand-out performers this season has been young skipper Tim Glasby with the former Rockhampton Norths junior set to play in his 50th Cup game this weekend.

The mystery punter says: Dolphins by 12 points. While the Capras will be buoyed by their big win in Round 5 - Redcliffe are one of the top teams in the competition and with their sprinkling of NRL talent, should have too much class for an enthusiastic CQ side.
