Queensland Origin team

The shocks continue in this year's State of Origin series without a ball yet kicked. Canberra fullback Clinton Schifcofske is a shock omission from the State side to play NSW in Brisbane on June 11.

Despite being in great form for the Raiders, Schifcofske missed out on selection, meaning the Maroons won't have a specialist goal kicker. Schifcofske was expected to be named on the wing but those spots have been snapped up by North Queensland Cowboy Matt Sing and Newcastle fullback Robbie O'Davis.

Sing is the NRL's leading try scorer along with Penrith's Rhys Wesser who also missed out on the Queensland side despite have undeniable claims similar to that of Schifcofske.

Sing's two try effort in yesterday's win over St George-Illawarra helped secure his spot. The forwards are dominated by Brisbane with Tonie Carroll earning a start at lock.
